Wigan Council
Tradition Films have completed many productions and training projects for different departments within Wigan Council over a decade and more. The Planning Department commissioned 'Greenheart Regional Park' - a short introduction to the network of restored green spaces in the heart of Wigan Borough, presented by Sky Sports' Phil Clarke. Local actors were used in dramatic re-enactments which formed the core of an educational video about Adult Safeguarding, aimed at care home workers, to alert them to the signs of abuse of vulnerable adults, and to teach them the correct response to make. Drama also featured in a hard-hitting DVD for Wigan Youth Service about teenage mums entitled 'Be A Rhino Not A Sheep', where excerpts of a commissioned play were mixed with frank interviews with young mothers. |

MENCAP
Tradition Films produced a video for 'Access to Heritage' - a project run by MENCAP Liverpool. A group of disabled people visited many of the cultural attractions in Merseyside - museums, art galleries, historic buildings - in order to assess how accessible the venues are for people with disabilities. The focus was not only on physical access, but also access to information, and also how welcoming venues are to disabled visitors. The resulting video was exhibited in St Georges Hall and has been used to influence provision for disabled visitors in many of the cultural attractions featured. |
